About me...
I am a 2004 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications and a minor in Information Systems. After graduation, I bought and operated a florist and gift shop, and from that I began Serendipity Productions, a videography company. I entered the teaching field in 2007 as a lateral-entry English teacher at Hobbton High School in Sampson County Schools, North Carolina. I completed all the coursework to clear my license in 2010 and decided to continue my formal education as a non-degree seeking student at NCSU. In the fall of 2012, I entered the Instructional Technology program at NCSU full time after teaching for five years. On May 11th, 2013, I graduated with a Masters in Education in Instructional Technology with a 077 and 079 licensure. In 2013, I worked at DELTA (Distance Education Learning Technology Applications) as an online course reviewer using the Quality Matters rubric. Then, started as an Instructional Technology Facilitator in Harnett County. I have also co-taught a study abroad course through NCSU, Integrating Writing in Technology that focused on facilitating 21st century technology skills and tools such as web 2.0/3.0 tools with writing across all content areas.
